Ram Janmabhoomi Trust to Modify Ram Lalla Idol’s Tour: Reports

The procession scheduled for January 17, allowing devotees to witness the new idol of Ram Lalla across Ayodhya ahead of the consecration ceremony, has been canceled by the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, reported media outlets.

Instead, the Trust has opted to organize a tour of the new idol within the Ram Janmabhoomi premises on the same day, citing concerns about crowd management raised by security agencies.

This decision was made following a meeting between officials of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, Acharyas of Kashi, and senior administrative officials.

The Ayodhya district administration highlighted during the meeting that controlling the crowd would be challenging, as devotees and pilgrims are expected to throng the city to catch a glimpse of the new idol of Ram Lalla during the initially planned procession.
